Every time one of our political leader's make a public gaffe, social media erupts into sarcastic tweets and jokes on the said incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent walk at the Moscow airport while the national anthem of India was playing was received on Twitter in similar manner.
Video of Modi beginning to walk as the national anthem started playing was repeatedly played out across various news channel. While many reasoned that it could have been an honest mistake, as he was gestured to walk and just then the band started playing 'Jana Gana Mana', many felt he insulted our national anthem. The PM was pulled back by a Russian official and Modi eventually stood still as the band continued playing.
